The hospitality industry doesn’t have time to chase trends—we need tools that work. And in today’s CHART webinar, we shared real-life ways AI is helping training professionals save time, simplify tasks, and make better decisions, faster.

Hosted by the incredible Jen Belk White, the conversation brought together four of us—Paul Miramontes, Matthew Steele, Jim Rich, and me—to talk about where AI is truly making a difference in our day-to-day work as learning leaders.

🧠 Paul Miramontes from Ghilardi Group showed how he’s using ChatGPT to sift through large volumes of customer feedback, quickly surface key themes, and organize them into Excel—freeing up time for deeper analysis and faster action.

📊 Matthew Steele from Ghilardi Group demonstrated how AI tools can create custom formulas to better filter and organize reports, helping teams pinpoint key metrics faster and more efficiently. He even shared tips for working with data offline for added flexibility.

🧵 Jim Rich from Mendocino Farms added powerful insights on elevated prompting. He shared how he uses Claude to process stream-of-consciousness event planning notes and uncover the unifying thread—turning scattered thoughts into cohesive strategy. He also uses an Audience Mirror prompt to review and refine content through the eyes of his target audience, boosting relevance, clarity, and impact.

⚙️ I had the chance to speak to one of my favorite use cases—how training professionals can create rinse-and-repeat AI-powered tools and Artifacts to scale their support. When we pre-train small solutions (like reusable prompt templates), we empower teams to use the tools—without needing to master every technical detail behind them.

💡 Even Jen shared how she’s been using AI tools to build a personal coach and advisor—a great reminder that this isn’t about robots taking over. It’s about real humans using AI to get smarter, faster, and better at what we do best.

Complimentary webinars like this one, CHART’s Regional Training Forums, and national conferences are just a few of the ways this community helps hospitality trainers learn, grow, and lead—together.
